Thomas Day WW-I Draft Record

Interesting Find! Thomas reports that he was born Jan 03, 1892. That he has a wife and two children and that he is from Mount Meigs, Alabama. So our Days moved to Birmingham! The record states that Thomas is tall and slender, and apparently has something wrong with his feet. A mashed toe perhaps. The company he works for is listed as T.C1 and he worked in Ensley which is a few miles West of Birmingham. TC1 is most likely the, "Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company" now called Birmingham Southern Railroad.

The Date of Registration is June 05, 1917 which means that Gertrude was alive at least until that time.
